So… Where do I start? I went off the birth control pill about 2 years ago and haven’t had a period since… Thing is, I would really like to get pregnant and have been trying for what seems like forever (2 years! ughh!) So, I’ve read the TTC books… I have spent hours and hours on the web researching techniques, treatments, therapies, medical endeavors, etc… I have seen doctor after doctor with no pay off!… It seems like every single doctor I’ve seen just wants to brush around the fact that BCP may have actually caused me to be infertile… Not even to mention, the permanent damage to my CM! I have been diagnosed with pcos by one extremely misinformed doctor who didn’t even do any blood work. For some time, pcos actually seemed like a possibility for me so this doctors “diagnosis” made sense in a way. When I started researching pcos I realized that I only had a few of the symptoms (absent/irregular menses, weight gain, infertility) and I knew that my symptoms weren’t only specific to pcos. I now know that there are a wide range of reasons for infertility/irregular periods I just need to know what mine is.

So I’m sure your first conclusion would be SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR!! Well, I have seen A LOT of doctors (I honestly can’t even come up with a number anymore). I have seen doctors in 2 different states and I still have absolutely no clue what’s wrong with me. As soon as I pull the BCP card, the doctor all of a sudden, doesn’t know what to do.

Hopefully, with your help, I can finally be a mother (or at least feel like a woman again… anything helps I suppose…). I do have a prescription for Clomid 50mg that I was supposed to start taking after taking Provera 10mg/10 days to induce a period. Well, this is the third time Provera hasn’t worked for me. I really want to just take the Clomid but I know I need to have a period first. The question is: How do I have a period if Provera doesn’t work? I know there are a lot of women out there with this problem. Are there any success stories? If so, what do you recommend I do?

I would like to know what are the costs for ultrasounds that are required to measure follicles in patients undergoing infertility treatment for pcos. I’m asking coz my insurance might not cover these costs..I live in michigan..if that contributes to the cost factor..

We have been ttc for almost 2 years. The urologist told him for the low sperm count he neded to see an infertility specialist. Does that mean he is infertile? Can they give him any medications? Does private insurance covers the treatment, help!! Any inertility specialist you know in Los Angeles
